ABSTRACT : This study investigates drinking and smoking habits on the performances of students in Nigeria tertiary institutions. The findings reveal a high risk of consumption of alcohol and cigarettes among the students with respect to their health and academic performances. The Chi-Square is employed and it is observed that there is a significant relationship between the type of alcoholic drink preferred and sex (χ2 = 18.38, p-value = 0.001), Reading length per day and drinking  (χ2 = 10.50, p-value = 0.015), but the association between Drinking and CGPA (χ2 = 2.38, p-value = 0.510) is obviously not significant at 5% level of significance.

ABSTRACT: India is agriculture based country and there is a great demand in water for irrigation. Use of industrial effluent for agricultural and discharge of industrial effluent in the land of irrigation have become common practice in India as a result of which these toxic metals get accumulated in soil.  The present study was aimed to investigate the impact of sugar industry on soil quality of area around the sugar industry. Soil sampling was done from January to May from 10 different locations around a sugar industry. The various physico-chemical parameters were determined including pH, Electrical Conductivity, Organic carbon, Potassium, Phosphorus and Sulphur. Results indicate that sugar mill effluent affected various soil parameters such as Organic carbon, Electrical conductivity, Sulphur and Potassium. Addition of nutrients by effluent improves the soil properties but the addition of too much nutrient like sulphur and potassium content in soil become toxic, decline the soil property.

ABSTRACT: Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) is a sub class of mobile ad hoc networks. VANET is most advanced technology for intelligent transportation system providing wireless connectivity among vehicles according to IEEE 802.11p standard for end to end communication. In VANET, routing protocols have a significant role in terms of the performance because they determine the way of sending and receiving packets between mobile nodes. In this paper, we have examined and analyzed the performance of Ad-Hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol on the basis of radio-wave propagation model with constant bit rate (CBR) data traffic over various node speed and number of nodes. Network performance is analyzed by measuring Packet Delivered Ratio (PDR), Average Throughput and Average end to end delay. The objective of this study is to find out the radio-wave propagation model for wireless communication which gives best network performance with AODV routing protocol on in fracture less Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (IL-VANET). Based on the validated results, shadowing radio-wave propagation model serves the best.

5.      A LOW POWER DELAY PRODUCT SEU TOLERANT ISO-DICE LATCH CIRCUIT DESIGN

Dept.of ECE, Anna University,Regional Centre, Coimbatore, India.

ABSTRACT: Soft-error interference is a crucial design challenge in the advanced CMOS VLSI circuit designs. In this paper, we proposed a SEU Isolating DICE latch (Iso-DICE) design by combing the new proposed soft-error isolating technique and the inter-latching technique used in the DICE design. To further enhance SEU-tolerance of DICE design, we keep the storage node pairs having the ability to recover the SEU fault occurring in each other pair but also avoid the storage node to be affected by each other. To mitigate the interference effect between dual storage node pairs, we use the isolation mechanism to resist high energy particle strikes instead of the original interlocking design method.Through isolating the output nodes and the internal circuit nodes, the Iso-DICE latch can possess more superior SEU-tolerance as compared with the DICE design. As compared with the FERST design which performs with the same superior SEU-tolerance, the proposed Iso- DICE latch consumes 50% less power with only 45% of power delay product in TSMC 90 nm CMOS technology.

ABSTRACT: The present research article reports the mechanical and morphological properties of a new  nano composite material derived from aniline - ortho toludine - diethylaniline terpolymer (AOTDEA) and graphene oxide (GO). The composite under present investigation has shown significant improvement in its mechanical properties and morphological characters as compared to terpolymer alone. AOTDEA terpolymer was obtained by condensation polymerisation of the starting materials and its structure has been proved by physicochemical and spectral evidences. GO was prepared from graphite using a modified Hummers method.  GO was used as a nano-filler for the fabrication of AOTDEA-GO composite. It is evident that addition of 5% by weight of GO led to significant enhancement in tensile strength of the composite. It is supported by the drastic decrease in the Young’s modulus values of terpolymer and its composite with GO that is 3.9 GPa and 2.3 GPa respectively. It is further supported by increased elongation at break values. The decrease volume resistivity values suggests that incorporation of GO during composite fabrication served as a conducting filler material to form electrical percolation networks in the composites. The improved morphological properties are supported by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images.

ABSTRACT -  We have used four different models due to Moss, Ravendra et al, Vandamme, and Full Potential Linearized Augmented Plane Wave (FP-LAPW) due to Drablia et al for determining refractive index and dielectric constant for barium chalcogenide ternary alloys. The results have been obtained for the entire range of compositions in case of  BaS1-xOx, BaS1-xSex and BaS1-xTex. It is found that the results based on different empirical models are in close agreement with each other but significant derivation have been found for the results based on the FP-LAPW. The comparison of results reveals that a correction term is needed for the theoretical model based on the FP-LAPW method.

ABSTRACT- Hoopoe has important status in Persian literature. In mystical texts such as Logic of Birds by Attar this bird appears as a guide that directs the mystics toward God. What is the reason for the great mystics in selection of hoopoe as a symbol of guide?,Does hoopoe play an important role in Quran in the story of Solomon? Why In Quran hoopoe is commissioned to great duty?,Are there any birds in the myths and cultures have commission like hoopoe? This paper tries to answer above mentioned questions.

ABSTRACT: Freedom of religion and belief is one of the legal aspects that hereafter humans could live together in peace with own religions and believing system. For perfection of man and substantiating of his talents he should think about anything freely, since human being is a creature that could think and the dignity of mankind relies on freedom of thinking. This article aims to investigate freedom of religion and beliefs and its legal aspects in the Beihagi history and also analyze the findings according to the measures of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It seems that at that time, the people could not express their beliefs freely though Quran and Islamic thoughts emphasize on liberty as the natural and innate right of mankind.

ABSTRACT : In Ayurveda, groups of plant known as Rasayanas have been extensively used as rejuvenating for arresting the progression of aging, to provide resistance against disease as well as those induced by emotional perturbation and to promote general welfare of the individual. It is, thus, obvious that long before the concept of adaptogen was involved in the middle part of this century, an extremely similar theory has been propounded centuries ago in Ayurveda. Gastric H+-K+ ATPase of the parietal cell is the H+ ion pump responsible for acid secretion in the stomach and has been identified as a pharmacological target for the development of a drug to treat ulcers. The histamine H2-receptor antagonist cimetidine, ranitidine and famotidine act as potent inhibitors (70-80%) of secretion. Basella alba L. herb is used traditionally in Thailand for anti-inflammatory, cytotoxicity and antioxidant activities of anti-inflammatory remedies. This allowed the selection of lead extracts for various ethno pharmacological researches. The active constituents of Basella alba is Basellasaponin (A, B, C and D), Kaempherol, Betalain, which are therapeutically used for antifungal, anticonvulsant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, androgenic activities and for the treatment of anemia. It also used for the hemorrhages, skin diseases, sexual weakness, ulcers and as laxative in children and pregnant women.
